Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, or on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be collected by your driver-guide for the five- to six-hour drive to the Masai Mara, with a stop in Narok town to meet local artisans and pick up handmade crafts.

You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the evening, head out for a game drive across the reserve in search of lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants, and gazelles, among other species. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Days 2 & 3: Full Day Game Viewing in the Masai Mara

Spend two full days exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve on game drives, taking in its open plains and rich concentration of wildlife. Depending on the season, this is also your best opportunity to encounter the Great Wildebeest Migration and, with good timing, a Mara River crossing. Return to your lodge each evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you exit the Masai Mara, heading to Lake Nakuru National Park — a birder’s paradise and rhino sanctuary. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by a short rest.

In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in search of black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, leopards, and large flocks of flamingos along the shore of Lake Nakuru. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive, Transfer to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, leave the park with an en-route game drive as you head toward Amboseli National Park, where you will be welcomed by the scenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit. Head to your lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
