The safari flies you directly into Serengeti National Park, cutting out the long overland transfer and putting you into the park on day one. From there, you have two full days of game drives targeting the Big Five and the Serengeti’s other headline wildlife, plus a day built around optional extras: a Maasai village visit and a guided nature walk near your lodge.

This itinerary suits travelers who value time and comfort over budget, and who want a Serengeti-only safari rather than a multi-park circuit. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Serengeti National Park

Your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast, or from Kilimanjaro International Airport on arrival, and brief you before the drive to Arusha Airport for your flight to the Serengeti.

On landing, you will be met by our driver-guide for the transfer to your lodge, with a game drive en route across the endless plains. After lunch and a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive in search of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, along with rhinos, wildebeests, giraffes, and elephants. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Days 2 & 3: Full-Day Game Drives in the Serengeti

Spend these two days exploring the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives, with early breakfasts and picnic lunches. Expect strong sightings of the Big Five — lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos, and elephants — along with giraffes, cheetahs, elands, warthogs, and a wide range of birdlife.

Because your safari is private, your game drive timing is entirely flexible — useful if you are traveling with children, or simply want a slower start on your honeymoon. On either day, you may also choose a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch instead of returning to camp at midday. Return to your lodge each evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Maasai Village Visit and Nature Walk (Optional)

Today you can choose a morning and afternoon game drive, or a longer full-day excursion with a packed picnic lunch. Two optional activities are available at additional cost: a Maasai village visit and a guided nature walk.

The Maasai village visit, lasting about an hour, offers a glimpse into the traditional, semi-nomadic life of the Maasai people on the reserve’s outskirts. The nature walk, subject to availability, is led by a resident guide based at the camp and gives you an hour to observe local flora and fauna up close; for your safety, it stays within the vicinity of the lodge rather than entering the main park.

In the afternoon, an additional game drive gives you a chance to catch up on any animals you may have missed so far — lions, leopards, rhinos, cape buffaloes, and elephants among them. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure

At first light, head out for one last game drive in the Serengeti, followed by a leisurely breakfast. Check out by 10 a.m. and transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. On arrival, your driver-guide will meet you and take you to your hotel or directly to the airport for your departure flight.
