Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, or on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide for a short briefing before setting off on the six-hour drive to Serengeti National Park — a name that means “endless plains.”
Serengeti National Park covers approximately 14,763 square kilometers and is home to the Big Five (elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards), along with a notably large lion and elephant population, plus impalas, giraffes, and elands.
The central part of the park, known as Seronera, is thick with wildlife, particularly around the Seronera River. During the game drive, watch for lion prides and kopjes — the large granite outcrops where predators often rest and survey the plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch and continue exploring before heading to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Central Serengeti to North Serengeti
Today you have two options: a relaxed breakfast with game drives starting at 9 a.m. and lunch on the go, or an early 6 a.m. start for a morning game drive. Either way, you will explore Central Serengeti before heading north.
As you move north, the landscape shifts to hills and broken terrain, and you will see zebras, gazelles, and buffaloes along the way. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route, with time permitting for a stop by the Mara River. Dinner and rest follow at your accommodation.

Day 3: North Serengeti to Central Serengeti
Choose between a later breakfast with game drives from 9 a.m. or an early 6 a.m. start. After breakfast, relax before heading back to Central Serengeti, a roughly four-hour drive with wildlife spotting along the way. As you return to Seronera, the terrain shifts back to open grassland — keep an eye out for lion prides. Enjoy lunch on the drive, and after an eventful day, settle in for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch.
Ngorongoro Crater is a massive volcanic caldera surrounded by extinct volcanoes—the world’s largest intact, unfilled caldera, formed when the original volcano collapsed in on itself. The crater is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. After a day exploring the crater floor, head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Arusha
Start the day early, around 6:30 a.m., with a quick breakfast before descending into the crater floor for a five-hour game drive. The crater is vast and filled with diverse wildlife, so keep your camera close—expect herds of elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos, among others.
After a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool, you will climb out of the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving around 6 p.m. You will be dropped at the airport for your onward flight, closing out your safari.
