Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive Time: 4.5 hours
Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport on arrival, or from your hotel, for the drive to western Uganda. Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator crossing for photos before continuing to your lodge for lunch, followed by a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Watch for hippos and other water-loving wildlife before returning to your lodge at sunset, with a game drive en route. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Drive Time: 4 hours
Set out early for a morning game drive in search of zebras, giraffes, and impalas, among other species. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, check out, and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
You will arrive at the park in the late afternoon. Relax at your lodge, and at sunset enjoy a performance of traditional dance from the local Batwa community. Dinner and an overnight stay follow.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today you trek the endangered mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Wake early to prepare your gear — trousers, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, socks, a hat, insect repellent, energy snacks, and plenty of drinking water.
Meet fellow trekkers at the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking, then head to the starting point for a trek that typically takes two to six hours. You will spend a full hour with the mountain gorillas, watching them groom each other and go about their lives in the forest.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector, where you may spot the region’s famous tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. Continue to your lodge for lunch, then head out in the afternoon for a Kazinga Channel boat cruise, where you can expect hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes along the banks. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive, Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive, renowned for a dense population of wildlife, including predators such as lions and leopards.
Return to your lodge for lunch, check out, and continue to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Check in and relax for the evening, with dinner and an overnight stay at Kibale Forest Lodge.

Chimpanzees in Kibale
Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience and Transfer Back to Kampala
Wake early for breakfast before heading to Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. You will be assigned a chimpanzee community to track and head to the starting point, with treks typically taking two to four hours depending on the group’s movement. Once located, you will spend an hour observing these playful primates as they go about their day in the forest — plenty of time for photographs.
Return to the park headquarters, meet your guide, and begin the drive back to Kampala with lunch en route. You will be dropped at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
